Since his early, formative days with John McLaughlin's
Mahavishnu Orchestra, Jean-Luc Ponty has carved himself a niche
as an inventive, proficient jazz violinist. Of the many albums
he has recorded under his own name for various labels, he ranks
those he did while at Columbia (The Gift Of Time, Storytelling,
and Tchokola) as being among his best efforts. This compilation
