Release Notes :

Launched earlier this year 'Leaders Of The New School' has become a popular sub
label of Toolroom Records. This ultra-hot digital label focuses on giving a
platform to the brightest, best new talent from around the world, while also
drawing attention to established artists who have not yet gained the recognition
that Toolroom thinks they deserve. The label is all about strong talent, new
music, and the freshest sounds.

As Mark Knight explains, "This is the evolution of our 'Leaders Of The New
School EP' series, which was breaking ground for artists like Richard Dinsdale &
Patrick La Funk. We are giving artists the opportunity to release on a bigger
labelà both up-and-coming artists who are creating hot music that's rocking
dancefloors across the globe, AND artists that have been working the scene for
years, but not necessarily had the spotlight they're worthy of."

10 releases in and Kate Lawler takes up the reigns to mix some of her highlights
from the label, delivering an electrifying DJ mix that secures her position as
the one of the leading female DJs in the country. In the mix Kate weaves
together the diverse and dazzling sounds of the Leaders imprint in her own
inimitable, infectious style.

Since she burst into the UKÆs consciousness back in 2004, Kate Lawler has worked
harder than most at getting the world to sit up and take notice. Successfully
building herself a reputation as a formidable talent, she regularly rocks the
UK's premier venues and music festivals, ranging from Godskitchen to Colours in
Scotland, Lush in Ireland and of course her massive residency at the legendary
Sankey's in Manchester.

If you've ever seen Kate DJ, you'll know that she's as much a part of the crowd
as she is maestro of the music! With her profile exploding at home, it was only
a matter of time before she smashed onto the international stage. Clocking up
the air miles, 2008 is the year thatÆs seen Kate establish an army of fans on
every continent.
