As you may or may not remember - i had a lot of trouble
last week by relying on my FM reception.
it went bad and i ended up with one of the hissiest EM
releases in history.
anyway, i promised better so now it's time to deliver.

Producer and remixer of more than 85 productions in
three years, including classics like Orinoko's 'Mama
Konda' and his snarling snare-driven mix of 'Doom's
Night' by Azzido Da Bass, prolific he may be, but
creatively spent Timo Maas ain't.
Indeed if you've set foot inside a niterie recently,
the chances are you'll have got down to one of Timo's
percussive productions - as well as Hope Recordings and
current label Perfecto, he's also recorded for Hooj
Choons, FFRR and Bush.
Timo's residency at The Tunnel, Hamburg (1994-96),
marked his breakthrough. Producing the "aggressive
trance" record 'Die Herdplatte' with resident Gary D,
the track won him universal acclaim, and led to his
current involvement with Bristol-based Hope Recordings.
Soon he was booked everywhere from 'Lakota' in Bristol
to 'Energy Parade' in Switzerland and has since gone on
to DJ everywhere from Germany's 'Love Parade' to
London's 'Turnmills' and Chicago's 'Karma'.
Yet it was the genre-defining 'Mama Konda', recorded in
1997 at Time Tools Studios under the incarnation
'Orinoko', that caused the biggest stir in the dance
fraternity. A standard in the boxes of every DJ from
Morales to Sasha, 'Mama Konda' was a percussive
floorslayer that cemented Timo's reputation as the
hottest kid on the block, reaching the Top 20 in both UK
and US club charts.
Timo's remixes have been garnering acclaim from all
quarters, from his mixes of Lustral's 'Everytime' (Hooj)
and Big Ron's 'Let The Freak' (Perfecto) to 'Dooms
Night' by Azzido Da Bass - "The mix that pulls together
all the different pigeonholes in the UK scene right
now", according to one dance magazine.
