░ █▓██ sits next to electro-pop (Depeche Mode) and the kind of ██▓█ ░
░ █▓██ sappy hit singles (Barbara Dickinson) bought by grandmothers ██▓█ ░
░ █▓██ the world over. ██▓█ ░
░ █▓██ However, additions such as the Only Ones' obscure garage ██▓█ ░
░ █▓██ gem, "Another Girl, Another Planet," Scritti Politti's ██▓█ ░
░ █▓██ trippy operetta "The Sweetest Girl," and the pub rock ██▓█ ░
░ █▓██ romanticism of Wreckless Eric's (remember him?) "Whole Wide ██▓█ ░
░ █▓██ World" are nothing less than inspired shots of genius. ██▓█ ░

░ █▓██ The presence of anachronistic nuggets from '60s auteurs Tim ██▓█ ░
░ █▓██ Buckley and Sonny and Cher (talk about opposite ends of the ██▓█ ░

░ █▓██ Animals is harmless, if slightly baffling. Slightly less so ██▓█ ░
