After inhabiting Guestroom 6 in bloop 07, bloop is proud to present the debut EP
of Actor One, a duo of producers from Greece. Ison and John Dimas have both been
pushing dance music forward in their hometown of Thessaloniki and also all over
Greece, with the established Non Collective, founded by Ison, and both their
club residencies and the annual Rework Festival as their force. ôGolden Girl EPö
captures exactly what made us look at Actor OneÆs tracks in a different light.
First, ôStayö shows Actor OneÆs commitment to pure and unadulterated fun on the
dancefloor. And then Actor One show us their more serious side in their
chord-driven deep-house-for-packed-dancefloors track ôInboxö. Although it looks
like itÆs a hard to concile paradox, having fun while taking music seriously is
definitely what we try to do every single day here at bloop. However, with
ôStayö and ôInboxö, Actor One said it better than we could ever do with words.
Keeping in tradition with all the other bloop releases, we asked our good
friends Chris Gruber and Nils Nurnberg (who have excelled with their very
special ôLaugh Linesö EP on 8bit) to deliver their trademark house sound to
ôStayö. And deliver they did, with their Gruber & Nⁿrnberg remix making
explosive use of the melodic and organic elements of ôStayö in a already tested
and certified crowdpleasing way.
