Errr, what's this then? We've got our clammy mitts on a measly haul of
some of the baddest old skool hardcore and breakbeat edits since the
HATE thing surfaced some months back. Similarly we know very little
about the characters behind these crafty cut and paste jobs, apart from
the fact that they've got damn fine taste and we'd love to hear them
DJing! First up for the chop is Janet Jackson ready to take Liquid's
'Liquid' (aka the fellas that produced 'Sweet Harmony' don't ya know)
and letting us see her in a whole new light. Next up it's Pink in a
hotsteppin electro version sounding very much like something cut from
the awesome NMB mix, and finishing the side there's the Eurythmics vs
Tipper vs Radioactive man is a three way face-off for dancefloor
supremacy. On the flipside Phortune and Carl Craig make the beast with
two backs on the craftily titled 'Bass in the trees', we'll leave the
rest to your imagination, but it's safe to say this is freakin' deadly!
'Icct Graft' is a mashup of Plastician's killer grime instrumental 'Hard
Graft' with Aphex's magical 'Icct Hedral' from ICBYD and to top it all
off, dare we say it... Basic Channel's 'Phylyps Trak' neatly merged with
Burial's 'Archangel' for the ultimate spine chilling dub tech
experience. 300 copies only for the world.
