Amsterdam's hardest working funk band returns with a bang and and a
renewed sound. Alviz, Onno, Bram and Cody are still keeping it raw but
they are adding some new spices to their red-hot gumbo.
"Code 99" is a next level b-boy tune with psych-rock guitar licks and an
sharp but uplifting hammond theme. The breaks on this song are tighter
than Kanye's jeans.
"Buckaloose" explores new territories with it's tricky afro-groove.
After three minutes of deep and groovy motherland funk, the track is
breaking loose...
"Code 99" is the first volume of a new series of limited collectors 45s
by Lefties Soul Connection. 500 copies only and no repress. For Volume
2, Lefties will team with Funk & Soul shouter Flomega for a take on the
Sonics garage punk classic "Have Love Will Travel". You have been
warned!
