Attitude is the buzz word.
Attitude from respectable producers towards a certain kind of music.
Music buried deep in the roots of us 'latin' people. From Italy comes
this superb collection - a whole new world of latin influences selected
by italian Dj Lele Sacchi via Temposphere Records. Whether house,
funk or traditional brazilian beats. The most surprising thing here
is that you will find songs not just from were you might except.
But from Germany, Italy, France, UK, and of course America.
'Prima Vera', spring, that season of sunny days, golden beaches and
relaxation. This is how Trueby Trio express their idea of latin music.
You will also find well respected house producers like Frankie
Valentine for the reputable 'Estereo' Imprint. Or as the name 'other'
suggests. Different vibes embodied in a classic track by Cujo and
Superstars of rock. Everybody's heard of Dj Joe Claussell.
Resident at the legendary 'Body and Soul' in NYC where he knocked the
latin scene back into shape with his label 'Spiritual Life'. Just as
important in San Francisco based 'Ubiquity-The new Latinaires' and
their Batucada remix of Snowboy featuring the talented voice of
Liliana Chachian. Of course the French invasion was equally good,
adding it's own personal touch. The open minded I:Cube brings his
splendid 'Tropiq' excursion while one of the first quality french
labels 'Yellow' brings us it's own latin invention.
Carinhoso Project ate three Dj/producers with a very personal house
attitude. Next is Dj Q and a latin influenced by either the Scottish
rain, or Simon Ratcliffe (one half of Basement Jaxx). Evidently he'd
had enough of the grey London weather to write the warm but chilled
'Pat Track'. One of the most respected latin Djs in England and
world-wide realised a dream with Da Lata for London's Palm Picture
label. 'Rio Vida' is still an 'inspiration-information' classic for
Patrick Forge.
Back at home, the two definitive 'heartists' are here for a Jimmie Jean
re-interpretation which means yet another outlook on latin attitude.
Claudio Coccoluto, that open minded latin house Dj and his partner in
Crime Savino Martinez get involved in something 'Uno Nuovo'.
Let some sunshine in your life! This is just the 'Right Tempo' for
more fresh attitude in club Horizons.
