│"Snowboy has, for long time, been a driving force in popularising             │
│jazz dance and the latin rhythms that infuse the scene in the UK.             │
│Born Mark Kevin Gotgrove, he grew up in Southend, Essex. At                   │
│the age of 17, inspired by DJs Chris Hill and the eternal "doctor"            │
│Bob Jones, Snowboy started spinning at the club night he hosted               │
│at the Goldmine in Canvey Island. It was a venue close to his                 │
│heart as it is where he discovered jazz, funk and soul, and been              │
│voted the UK's no. 1 club for 12 years from 1974."                            │
│                                                                              │
│This album is a cut through snowboy's career in the acid-jazz                 │
│scene. As a skillful percussionist , DJ and producer he keeps                 │
│the rhythms raging and shows that he has been raising the                     │
│roots of the now quite popular percussion-heavy electronics                   │
│with the passion, still honouring the ascendants of the latin jazz.           │
│One would put that in another words : a nice album for sampling               │
│too.                                                                          │
