quadra is really hiroshi watanabe, a japanese dj, producer and
dance music fanatic now resident in new york, where he has been
involved in the club scene for years. hiroshi's demo tape to
frogman produce the track deep dream which was immediately included
on the frog compilation 'from the bedroom to the whole universe'.
he was resident at save the robot in manhattan and still dj's
regularly around the city at the likes of twilo and the tunnel, as
well as in his native tokyo. aside from recording for frogman in
his quadra guise, hiroshi has made quite a name for himself in new
york releasing tunes for nite grooves and king street records under
his real name. he also records under the nite systems moniker and
has remixed, engineered and programmed for the likes of lil louis,
the beloved and evelyn king. hiroshi is now involved in creating
music for computer and arcade games having just completed the music
for konami's beat mania arcade game. having established a
reputation for skilfully constructed melodic house and techno,
hiroshi has now moved towards a more diverse musical output, as
highlighted on sketch from a moment, his debut release on frogman.
