│ This band independently released this, their debut album in 2003. To be │
│ honest, the first thought I had upon listening to the cd was that this │
│ band sounds somewhat similar to David Vesel. And while that is true, they │
│ are not exactly alike. While Easternize also has the somewhat more │
│ primitive sound of David Vesel, the music doesn't sound nearly as dark (at │
│ least to me). │

│ I've seen a comparison to The Human league, and at least vocally that │
│ really rings true to me. There is a strong resemblance here. The same │
│ spirit is here to, with simple, yet catchy pop songs, backed by fairly │
│ stripped down synth melody lines and a unintrusive beat (by that, I mean │
│ it's not pounding away like some modern synthpop bands). │
│ │
│ The only problem with a album like this is I find the tracks are │
│ forgettable. Sure, they have enjoyable chorus hooks and fun synth playing, │
│ but it's all so low-key and quiet that nothing here really stuck with me. │
│ It wasn't that this was a bad album - it just failed to really catch my │
│ ear. This band does, I think, have a promising future. But their sound and │
│ songwriting need a little more polishing. │
