██▌▄▀█ native New Yorkers have helped to rejuvenate and ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ reinvent the dance music scene. Originating as a ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Hip-Hop label, Live Wire Entertainment jumped on the ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ dance scene in 2000. Formed in Charlotte, NC by ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ childhood friends, Aaron Payes (aka Kidd Star) and ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Stephen Monica (aka Kontrol), these two were ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ determined to put Live Wire on the map. ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Starting off at the age of 10, Kidd Star played both ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ keyboard and guitar in hopes of following in the ░██▌▄▀

██▌▄▀█ Halen, and Poison. Forming his first band at age 12 ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ called Shockwave with his friends, Kidd Star started ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ his entertainment career at a young age. While Kidd ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Star began to play music Kontrol began to mix it. ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ In 1992, he purchased his first pair of turntables, ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ and shortly thereafter Kontrol began the infamous ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ mix tape series Phat Jams which included all of the ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ hottest hip hop tracks of the moment. ░██▌▄▀

██▌▄▀█ While both in high school, Kontrol and Kidd Star ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ hung around hip-hop DJs watching them spin at local ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ clubs and college fraternity parties. At an early ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ age these two quickly became apprentices to the ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ industry. In 1995 Kidd Star stayed in New York to ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ follow his NCAA football career at Brockport St., ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ while Kontrol moved down to Charlotte, NC to pursue ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ his Marketing degree at the University of North ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Carolina. After a knee injury ended his football ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ career in 1999, Kidd Star contacted Kontrol and ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ decided to head down to Charlotte, NC where he was ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ still attending college. Once reunited, they ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ quickly submerged themselves within Charlottes ░██▌▄▀
