REPLICA AUTOMATA is the first official release by London based
JERICO ONE > formed in September 2000 by founder member and producer
[ J Hookens ] Produced entirely as a one-man audio construction
REPLICA AUTOMATA is an unassuming,erratic debut album by JERICO ONE
recorded between late december 2002 and march 2003, and embodies a
true experimental spirit and rare qualitiy found within the
electro-darkwave experience . Keeping with Jerico's primary
directive of improvised, one-take recordings for this instrumental
concept album , and to produce the tracks he wanted without any
compromise - Allowing the wave of spontaneity to guide him along the
way - letting the ideas flow and happen as they came. The result is
an exquisite atmospheric,subliminal,and emotionally charged
production - oscillating between fractured digital-rhythms, lo-fi
darkcore,electro -disco, and the nocturnal eerie ambient extreamites
- reminiscent of The Aphex Twin
meets Bladerunner.
Unlike his previous music excurtions REPLICA AUTOMATA is law
un-to-itself -totally disregarding any rules or conventional song
structures, or music pretentions - with the intent of continuing to
experiment and explore the possibilities of electronic music. Even
the more astute music producer will find it difficult to pin-down
where certain beats begin and where they end - however what you will
assertain is an inventive, energetic and imaginative piece of work -
that unfolds and grows on you the more you listen to it. Prepare
yourself to be transported to a dreamstate light years away because
this 9-Track album is definitely out there, and will blow you
away.....
