Cardiff three-piece, Threatmantics, include a viola-toting
frontman and a drummer that also plays the keyboards -
sometimes at the same time.
The intelligent lyrics are delivered with a dry wit, the
rhythms are often simplistic but always infectious, and the
riffs seem to get louder each time you hear them, but it's the
variation that truly sets Threatmantics apart. To have almost
each track markedly different whilst retaining an identity is
something rarely achieved û attempted, even û in music today,
and ample reason to investigate.
