With the festive period now behind us, 2008 managed to cram as many bleeps, pops
and thumps to make any electronic music lover go week at the knees, but as we
look forward to the house and techno adventure that's lays ahead In the New
Year, one new label certain to carry on the successes and focus firmly on 2009
is Miconn Records. With the majority of deep electronic music being provided via
Europe's minimal hive - Berlin, it's an enlightening prospect that one of
Belgium's key players in the scene Miquell Santos is behind the musical
direction and catalogue kick start of this new imprint. Having produced a string
of successful tracks and remixes of artists including Chab and Bedrock's Pole
Folder, whilst appearing regularly across his native club scene, it was only a
matter of time before Miquell Santos turned his attention to a dedicated output
for his music. Miconn's first release is by label boss, Miquell Santos (alias
Michael Coninx) aka Hermanez - "Gold Coast" with remix from Lauhaus! Enjoy!!!
