Butcher Boy, the seven piece orchestral indie pop group from
Glasgow whose 2007 debut album 'Profit In Your poetry'
received rave reviews from The Guardian,Uncut and DIS,
amoungst others, release 'Carve A Pattern', the first single
from their eagerly awaited second album, on Feb 16th 2009.
'Carve A Pattern' is a dazzlingly ambitious reinvention of the
classic Glasgow indie pop sound. Opening pounding piano line,
it blossoms into glorious technicolour with soaring strings,
ornate baroque harmonies and an unashamedly poetic lyric that
culminates with the assertion: "You shouldn't be kissing with
your eyes closed".
