THE 39STEPS is the artist name adopted by producer/musician/DJ
Kato, while guest vocalist Laura Fowles (already well known as
a sax player) luxuriously absorbs the human attention on each
of the tracks we've had chance to hear so far.
I would go along with "dark soul" as a good indication of what
the album has to offer. There's a gentle trip-hop feel, a deep
narcotic beat and plenty of echoey, bleepy embellishment
teasing out the strands of smoky ambient mood.
