Mongrel are a British super group comprised of members of The
Arctic Monkeys, Reverend And The Makers, Babyshambles and
Poisonous Poets. The band's debut album, Better Than Heavy, is
highly politically charged, with most songs containing lyrics
that address government issues. The inclusion of rapper
Lowkey, from the group Poisonous Poets, adds a hip hop element
to the indie-rock sound brought by the other four members.
