▐███▄▄ ▐███▀▄
██▌▄▀█ Brilliant set of remixes on CCO, the first in a ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ series of 12ös now that our 7ö Block series has come ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ to an end with ArovaneÆs most recent installment in ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ the series. What a way to start û John Tejada and ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Takeshi NishimotoÆs æIÆm Not A GunÆ project released ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ their album with us some weeks ago, one of its ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ highlights ôMake Sense and Looseö is now given the ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ remix treatment by our very own Ulrich Schnauss, ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Vertical FormÆs awesome beat-chopper Smyglyssna and ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Mr Tejada himself, this time occupying a ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ more-dancefloor focused vibe. UlrichÆs mix serves as ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ an ace taster for next weekÆs biggie û his ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ long-awaited second album ôA Strangely Isolated ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Placeö. The beats occupy the upper end of the tempo ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ scale, lilting guitars setting the frame while ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ UlrichÆs unique, euphoric edge uplifts and moves ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ with every progression, totally inspiring stuff. ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Mr TejadaÆs re-interpretation is ace, retaining the ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ acoustic backdrop of the original with a wash of ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ synths and microscopic house percussion û much like ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ his Playhouse work but equiped with a fuller array ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ of listening weaponary for added effact û ace. ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Smyglyssna has always been one of our big tips, and ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ his remake here employs precisely those ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ charectaristics that drew us to him in the first ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ place û a static roll of ambience that drops into ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ one almighty hip hop bounce, deep structures and ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ percussive rattles abstracted to perfection. With ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ the original track slipped in for good measure, itÆs ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ a winner. Essential stuff. ░██▌▄▀
