│ Named by The Toronto Star as "one of the best new groups │
│ emerging from Seattle", The Kindness Kind plays spacious │
│ electronic-infused indie-rock. │

│ In 2007, The Kindness Kind recorded their debut album, A Novel, │
│ at Bear Creek Studio with Lucas Carlyle (credits include: The │
│ Gossip, The Octopus Project, The Album Leaf). A Novel went on │
│ to chart CMJ and was featured in numerous reviews including the │
│ Toronto StarÆs Anti-hit List column. │
│ │
│ For their self-titled follow up (November 2008), The Kindness │
│ Kind has taken their latest batch of songs to various studios │
│ and spaces in Washington State, with producer Lucas Carlyle at │
│ the board once again. The result is powerful: a vibrant mix of │
│ indie-pop-rock songs that move from the delicate to the brash, │
│ with thunderous walls of sound juxtaposed by beautiful floating │
│ textures and rich melodies interwoven throughout. │
│ │
│ The Kindness Kind is a CMJ Spotlight artist, toured the West │
│ Coast in early 2008, and has shared the stage with bands such │
│ as The Rosebuds, The Most Serene Republic, and Darker My Love. │
│ The band recently performed live on Seattle's KEXP, and the │
│ "The Lusk Letter" was selected as the KEXP Song of the Day for │
│ 1/9/09. │
│ │
│ A West Coast tour to Austin, TX and back is in the works for │
│ early 2009. │
