dXb The layered, emotionally driven sounds of Christian dXb
dXb Vance are instantly recognisable. Performing solidly dXb
dXb over the last decade as a live electronic music act dXb
dXb in various forms within the Australian electronic dXb
dXb music community, he has gained the respect of many dXb
dXb artists and DJs from around the globe. Having been dXb
dXb booked as the main support act for DJs including Carl dXb
dXb Craig, Joris Voorn, Kenny Larkin, Derrick May, Kevin dXb
dXb Saunderson, Jeff Mills, and live artists such as Aril dXb
dXb Brikha, Alex Smoke, Vince Watson and Fabrice Lig, his dXb
dXb ability lies not only in entertaining but also dXb
dXb drawing the crowd deeper into his own sound. Each set dXb
dXb is organic, unique. He chooses to take people on an dXb
dXb excursion into his sensual world of electronic dXb

dXb Vance will be releasing his first EP 'Tiger Snake' on dXb
dXb Perspectiv Records from Switzerland in the near dXb
dXb future. This follows his work on a remix project with dXb
dXb Derrick May for PlaidÆs soundtrack to the film Tekkon dXb
dXb Kinkreet, recorded in Carl CraigÆs Planet E studio. dXb
dXb Vance is also focusing his energies on his own label dXb
dXb HAUL Music (with fellow Australian artists Mike dXb
dXb Callander and Craig McWhinney), the first EP 'Too dXb
dXb Long On Venus' set to be released in late November dXb

dXb The son of an Austrian immigrant, a rhythm guitarist dXb
dXb of a popular Aussie 1960s rock band, Vance was dXb
dXb regularly seen at home tinkering with a Roland Dr. dXb
dXb Rhythm drum machine plugged into his fatherÆs dXb
dXb amplifier. He never quite took to traditional music. dXb
dXb Even after a decade with the guitar and classical dXb
dXb voice training, it was the sound of early Techno and dXb
dXb acid house mix tapes brought home by his Uncle dXb
dXb studying in Europe in the late 80Æs that aroused the dXb
dXb love for analogue synthesizers and the dancefloor. He dXb
dXb later borrowed his UncleÆs Korg workstation and dXb
dXb formed a band with schoolmates, Phunk De Sonique, dXb
dXb that were to play regularly for many years including dXb
dXb appearances at large Festival events such as Two dXb
dXb Tribes. dXb

dXb Performing with his band as a teenager during the dXb
dXb late 90Æs when classic Techno was at its zenith in dXb
dXb Australia, he got lost in the culture of electronic dXb
dXb dance music. Warehouse parties opened a new dXb
dXb playground of cerebral discovery, imagination and dXb
dXb emancipation. Vance embraced the sentiment of the dXb
dXb barren urban landscape depicted by Detroit Techno and dXb
dXb set out to make it his own. It is still part of his dXb
dXb vibe today. Setting out as a solo live act and dXb
dXb producer in May 2006, he made his worldwide solo dXb
dXb debut at a Blow Your Own Way event in Melbourne with dXb
dXb Kenny Larkin, a brand he has been long affiliated dXb

dXb His eclectic musical diet ranges from Ryuichi dXb
dXb Sakamoto, Brian Eno, Chuck Berry and David Byrne to dXb
dXb Herbie Hancock, Fela Kuti, Disco (Arthur Russell dXb
dXb style), Derrick May, Carl Craig and Fleetwood Mac dXb
dXb (potentially sparked by an encounter with Stevie dXb
dXb Nicks in a hotel pool as a toddler). dXb

dXb VanceÆs music is identified by deep chord sequences dXb
dXb and synced-up jazz beats over a constant synthetic dXb
dXb pulse. The allure of this sound is in its inability dXb
