█ Review by Jason Ankeny █
█ █
█ Don't be fooled by the rhinestone-studded disco threads modeled by the █
█ Ballads on the cover of Confessing the Feeling--despite a few nods to █
█ contemporary tastes and textures, the majority of the material is █
█ wonderfully anachronistic, holding fiercely true to the group's █
█ signature sound. While the post-Philly soul arrangements fit the Ballads █
█ far better than the rather generic material, the emphasis remains █
█ squarely on the artistry and majesty of the quartet's harmonies--somehow █
█ they transform wan songs like "Dizzy World" and "Sure Feel Like Love" █
█ into something heartfelt and true. █
