Brazil: in terms of Eletronic Music, Brazil starts and ends
with DJ Marky,Mau Mau, Meme, Patife and XRS, seeing as though,
right now, they are the biggest names to break from that
region. On the low, though, a duo that goes by the name Human
Factor is shaping up to be the next big thing that has
Brazilian roots. DJ Tisso and Atila are both Brazilian, but
surprisingly didnπt meet up until they were both in London
(Tisso has been in London since 2004, moving there after
pioneering DnB in the city of Campinas, while Atila has a
diverse musical background, playing guitar and DJing various
genres, including House and DnB Synching their creative juices
into one intoxicating stew, these two are set to move crowds
and spice up your bassbins.
Like Marky, Patife, Mau Mau and XRS, these two know how to
utilize the sounds that are synonymous with their home: the
sly guitars, the seductive vocals, the sexy ╢cool≈ that
resonates throughout their production. Having first been
picked up by Nookie for release on his Phuzion Recordings
label (PHUZION007πs ╢Cloning Science≈ b/w ╢Free Your Heart≈),
they were sought after by the Horizons Music label to an
exclusive 3 year deal. For whatever reason, this promising
arrangement was dissolved, making way for Human Factor to set
up their own imprints: Sunrize Recordings, which is designed
to highlight the Brazilian sound, while Dreamsound Recordings
is going after a more soulful and atmospheric sound, as they
put it. And boy did they accomplish their goals! Sunrize 001
received a release in November 2007, and was heavily rinsed by
fans of that South America flavor. Not to be outdone,
Dreamsound 001 dropped in March of 2008, and showcased that
these two could bring the liquid anthems just as easily as
they could flip classic Brazil flair inna DnB aesthetic.
