The amazing Eagles - in a rare live concert, deftly shot before huge,
widly enthusiastic audience in New Zealand.
The hits come in droves, mostly from the Eagle's classic period and
some from equally amazing solo careers: "Hotel California," "Victim
of Love," "New Kid in Town," "I Can't Tell You Why," "Lyin' Eyes,"
"One of These Nights," "Tequila Sunrise," "Take It Easy," and so many
more. The band takes us back to the 1970's, when these hits - polished,
intense, electic - dominated rock radio play and album collections.
But they also reveal the band members having, if anything, even
greater musical command then they did in the day. Newer songs like
"Dirty Laundry" get strong treatment; solo efforts like Joe Walsh's
"Life's Been Good to Me" and Glenn Frey's "Smuggler's Blues" show the
band's extraordinary versatility. With powerful guitar solos, drumming,
and tight harmony singing, the Eagles bring to life the indelible music
with which they have graced rock and roll and classic American pop.
