█ Chase Frank sort of went solo out of exasperation. After renouncing band
█ mates who inadvertently just wanted "take the edge off", she looped and
█ wailed her way through several West Coast tours, writing and testing the
█ waters.
█
█ In 2006 came a much welcome addition of Ahmad Jamal on drums & vocals, adding
█ a perfect tension to a guitar-driven, stormy mood.
█
█ Her latest release, Midnight Manor (released Jan. 8, 08), is enjoying some
█ pretty stunning reviews. Of the Midnight Manor EP title Frank says: "It's the
█ darkness before the dawn, the contemplative place you go around midnight when
█ all is quiet and you're alone with your thoughts. How will you reckon with
█ yourself? Also it's about one of my favorite times of day, the weee hours of
█ the morning."
