| This is a tribute to Francis Ford Coppola's 1974 Thriller 'The |
| Conversation'. With a fine score composed by David Shire and a |
| superior role player by Gene Hackman, I felt that the |
| conspiratorial themes contained within the movie are as |
| relevant now as they were twenty three years previously. There |
| is ABSOLUTELY NO sonic or visual samples taken from the |

| Review: |
| Yet another project of Kevin Martin, and also another great |
| one. This project's lineup includes Kevin Martin (Techno |
| Animal,Ice,GOD) on synths and sequencers, Andre Gurov (aka DJ |
| Vadim) on drum samples, Dave Cochrane (God, Ice, Head of David) |
| on bass, Alex Buess (of God, Ice, 16.17) on bass clarinet, and |
| S. Hopkins (don't know what he's from) on guitar. |
| |
| Musically, it's a very odd concoction of dub, hip-hop, noise |
| rock, noise and jazz. All 13 tracks feature consistantly great |
| beats from Gurov and rhythms by Cochrane, and the other |
| instruments make great atmospherical noise/sounds. One |
| noticable complaint..."Nightmare Messenger" is actually just a |
| remix of "Harry's Theme" (that's not really bad, I just hoped |
| that it would have been 13 original tracks). Also, while I do |
| like Gurov's style, his beats are a little too much high end, |
| and not enough bass (which is characteristic of his solo work). |
| They're not bad, but I like more bass thump to my beats. The |
| style of much of the tracks calls to mind some of Ice's work, |
| but with more of a rap bent on the beats, and less terror and |
| more paranoia atmospherics. All the tracks are consistantly |
| good, which makes this one without any standout good tracks, |
| but no low points either. One quality I really appreicate is |
| the fact that you can actually pimp, 70's style, to some of |
| these tracks (especially "24 Hour Survelliance", "Bug Party"). |

| A great, diverse release from those crazy guys at Wordsound |
| (who have also released the excellent Laswell/Harris/Bernocchi |
| disc Equations of Eternity and the hilarious Prince Paul's |
| Psycholanalysis). |
