Enjoy this refreshing change to the recent EM formula,
in the form of Unkle

UNKLE is an ongoing collaboration between DJ Shadow
(b. Josh Davis) and James Lavelle, the founder of
London's Mo Wax Records.
UNKLE started out as an experimental side project for
Lavelle, who is an accomplished producer and DJ in his
own right, having remixed Radiohead's "Planet Telex,"
the Verve's mega-hit "Bittersweet Symphony" and Beck's
"Where It's At." His partner, DJ Shadow, is the
biggest-selling artist in the Mo Wax corral, due in no
small part to his 1997 critically acclaimed CD,
Entroducing....
Together as UNKLE, the duo began pulling together some
of the most prominent names on the music scene to
contribute to their debut album, which was four years
in the making.
The highly anticipated result, Psyence Fiction, features
contributions by Radiohead's Thom Yorke, the Verve's
Richard Ashcroft, Metallica's Jason Newsted and Beastie
Boy Mike D, among others. The album was released in
October 1998 on Mo Wax.
