█ smooth charm and soulful delivery of an industry █

█ Durell first began singing at the age of four at █
█ his church in San Francisco. Over time his sound █
█ evolved and he began to grab the attention of █
█ movers and shakers in the music industry. HeÆs █
█ performed throughout the Bay Area as a vocalist █
█ and actor, and fans are drawn to his undeniable █
█ stage presence and explosive performances. HeÆs █
█ developed a following in both his hometown, as █
█ well as the Atlanta area. A Morehouse College █
█ alumnus, he credits his college experience for █
█ helping him to grow and mature. In fact, Durell █
█ says that many of his college experiences have █

█ strong roots in the church, heÆs always admired █
█ gospel class acts such as The Clark Sisters and █
█ Daryl Coley. He also grew up listening to Motown █
█ hits and legendary artists such as Barry White, █
█ The Jackson 5 and Whitney Houston. Durell sites █
█ Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway as major █
█ influences and gives credit to popular artists █
█ such as Anthony Hamilton, Beyonce, and label █
█ mates RoGue for the evolution of his unique █
█ style. While his upcoming album is a tapestry of █
█ classic influences and contemporary grooves, all █
█ in all, fans will agree that DurellÆs sound is █
█ both timeless and universal. █
