    █ █                "Written and directed by Dario Argento   █ █
    █ █                in 1971, THE CAT O'NINE TAILS, a giallo, █ █
    █ █                is the second movie of the italian       █ █
    █ █                director. Karl -Franco Arno- Malden is a █ █
    █ █                blind man living with his 10 years old   █ █
    █ █                niece near a medical institute           █ █
    █ █                specialized in genetics. When someone    █ █
    █ █                breaks in the institute and, the next    █ █
    █ █                day, one of the researchers is run over  █ █
    █ █                by a train at the railway station, Arno  █ █
    █ █                decides to begin a private               █ █
    █ █                investigation. He convinces James -Carlo █ █
    █ █                Giordani- , a journalist working on the  █ █
    █ █                case, to help him as they remark on a    █ █
    █ █                photography that someone has pushed the  █ █
    █ █                scientist under the train. But each time █ █
    █ █                they think to get an information from    █ █
    █ █                someone, the murderer is faster and      █ █
    █ █                kills the potential witness by           █ █
    █ █                strangulation. Little by little, they    █ █
    █ █                narrow the circle of potential killers   █ █
    █ █                to the people working in the institute.  █ █
    █ █                They are told by its founder's daughter, █ █
    █ █                the beautiful Catherine Spaak, that some █ █
    █ █                of the scientists were working on a      █ █
    █ █                special governmental project about       █ █
    █ █                genetics. The killer could be a spy      █ █
    █ █                working for a rival organization. Or     █ █
    █ █                maybe not. Great job from Karl Malden    █ █
    █ █                and artisanal special effects more       █ █
    █ █                efficient than those produced by today   █ █
