Spencer Parker "Untitled Head" having been firmly introduced to the scene
through his numerous releases and remixes for the likes of Rekids, Buzzin' Fly,
Tsuba Records and NRK, London's own Spencer Parker is another new addition to
Liebe*Detail's astounding and always growing artist roster. His pure peak time,
straight-up house offering, "Untitled Head", pushes the pressure and really
possesses the power to rock. A tough rolling, tribal groove pumps from the floor
upwards, carrying this 9 minute monster through all of its exciting, expertly
controlled phases. Balancing somewhere between an essential mixing tool and a
strongly original dancefloor statement in its own right, its a tried and tested
winner, from a musician who is quickly climbing the ranks with his
classic-meets-future house sound. ekkohaus - learning to fly Deriving from
Greece, Berlin resident Ekkohaus also built his reputation in London, forging
his way alongside his contemporaries in the vibrant underground club scene.
This, his first release on Liebe*Detail, is an energetic roller that also works
on many different levels. On the surface, "Learning To Fly" is a functional,
solidly constructed track that will surely ignite the dancefloor in some of the
worldÆs more discerning house clubs. Listen deeper, however, and you'll find a
wealth of detail and lovingly created off-kilter sound scapes, expressing
Ekkohaus' background in more experimental fields. This track further cements his
rightful place as a name to watch over the coming year!
