Release Notes:
'Red Sign/Acid Eyes' is the first single to be taken from Kap
Babino's brilliant second album 'Blacklist', due for release
in May. Two short sharp shocks of pure aural adrenalin at just
over two minutes long, these tracks are a perfect
re-introduction to one of the most original and exciting new
bands of recent times.
Since the release of their debut album 'Zero Life, Night
Vision', a brilliant slab of Noise-Pop which was released in
February 2008, Kap Bambino have toured incessantly and have
become huge on the underground selling out 1000 capacity
venues in the States and Europe on a regular basis. Their last
London show saw queues round the block and a lot of
disappointed punters who couldn't get in. Those who did were
embroiled in a sweat pit of insane moshing and pogo-ing as
front woman Caroline mesmerised and entranced.
Kap Bambino are vocalist Caroline Martial and laptop wizard
Orion Bouvier, two interesting and uncompromising individuals
with a strong DIY ethic who as well as being artists in their
own right also run their own label Wwilko and have various
side projects independent of each other. Subversive, anarchic
and with a deserved reputation as an exhilarating live act,
they are poised to hijack 2009 and claim it as their own.
