█ █▓█ black cdr, "sijis_rmx" came about as a █▓█ █
█ █▓█ re-interpretation of sijis back catalogue by Frans de █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Waard using his Freiband alias. In order to keep the █▓█ █
█ █▓█ back catalogue available sijis have decided to create █▓█ █
█ █▓█ an expanded edition for this re-pressing with five new █▓█ █
█ █▓█ mixes and an unrealeased alternative mix of the █▓█ █
█ █▓█ original. Keeping within the framework of that TJ █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Norris called the "beautiful... ghostly shoreline" of █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Freiband's piece, this release hopes to explore and █▓█ █
█ █▓█ expand horizons beyond the vague term 'drone'. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Freiband's two original mixes are presented along with █▓█ █
█ █▓█ mixes from: scott taylor, srmeixner, j torrance, mutton █▓█ █
█ █▓█ deluxe, sluggo. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ █▓█ █
█ █▓█ sluggo: produces a poem to the obliquity of the █▓█ █
█ █▓█ ecliptic. Taking influences from brion gysin and edward █▓█ █
█ █▓█ kelley, sluggo aims to move 'drone' away from its █▓█ █
█ █▓█ bloodless lineage and pursue a deeply religious music. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ For once the word 'cosmic' can be used without █▓█ █
█ █▓█ reference to japanese improv charlatans and krautrock █▓█ █
█ █▓█ necrophiles. █▓█ █

█ █▓█ scott taylor: twists freiband's original drone into a █▓█ █
█ █▓█ stark gesture, creeping around the listener with █▓█ █
█ █▓█ hisses, escaping gas and high pressure liquids. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Beautiful shimmering tones swirl around the textures █▓█ █
█ █▓█ producing something which is both mesmerising and █▓█ █
█ █▓█ menacing in equal doses. █▓█ █

█ █▓█ j torrance: being one part failsafe, two thirds orlo █▓█ █
█ █▓█ yeahblip creates some cocktail for this innovator from █▓█ █
█ █▓█ the detrite technocrat scene. For the first time j █▓█ █
█ █▓█ torrance produces a rhythmless work for sijis. Exposing █▓█ █
█ █▓█ the crackling framework underneath the beats, this mix █▓█ █
█ █▓█ fizzes with bubbling dust. █▓█ █

█ █▓█ srmeixner: is a new member of the sijis stable, █▓█ █
█ █▓█ formerly from the experimental outfit Contrastate. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Without regard for genre, srmeixner produces a piece █▓█ █
█ █▓█ filled with the uncanny, wilderness spaces of nature as █▓█ █
█ █▓█ well as integrating more traditional instrumentation. █▓█ █

█ █▓█ mutton deluxe: makes a welcome return to sijis after █▓█ █
█ █▓█ four long years working at the STEIN institute, █▓█ █
█ █▓█ developing a new recreation drug for the over 60's █▓█ █
█ █▓█ called Gravity. This mix celebrates the propulsion █▓█ █
█ █▓█ which he hopes one day will awaken all pensioners to █▓█ █
