Begone Dull Care was originally the title of a short film by
Scottish-Canadian animator Norman McLaren. Junior Boys members
Jeremy Greenspan and Matthew Didemu saw parallels between
McLarenÆs meticulous approach to animation and their own modus
operandi, hence the borrowing of Begone Dull Care to title
this, their third album together. The record was mostly
recorded at Junior BoysÆ studio set up in Hamilton, Ontario,
and is another set of precisely crafted electronic pop from
Greenspan and Didemu. Highlights include the first single from
the record, ôHazel,ö which has been compared to the
socio-political commentary of PrinceÆs seminal ôSign O The
Times.ö
