▐███▄▄ BOSS Proudly presents the L Double Connexions show. ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ Guest mix by London Elektricity this week. ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ L Double has been signed to 1Xtra to play the ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ hottest Drum & Bass. Known to most as a DJ, producer ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ and hard core Manchester United Fan, he was one of ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ the first main heads in the Drum & Bass scene. ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ "1Xtra represents a fresh approach to radio, opening ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ up the underground to many people. The station is ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ fulfilling a need, not simply creating a want. Five ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ years ago the BBC was in a very different place, the ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ acknowledgement of the urban youth market has ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ redefined its status as a player in this field." ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ L Double has a real passion for making music. He got ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ his first big break through the Hip Hop scene when ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ on tour with European Scratch Champion, DJ Trix. By ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ the time the 90s came around L Double had three UK ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ top 30 hits as a member of the cult House group, ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ Unique 3. This which helped to lay the foundations ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ for British House music along with the likes of ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ Adamski, Seal, 808 State and Nightmares on Wax. L ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ Double set up his own label, Flex, when faced with ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ the issues of the commercial music industry. Flex ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ enabled him do what he loved most; creating music ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ for the underground. ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ L Double is busy pushing the scene both in the UK ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ and abroad. The now matured label, Flex, has become ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ prominent in the US and Canada. The recent ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ collaboration with New York's Rawkus Drum & Bass ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ label, Rawkuts, kept the American headz bouncing. ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ L Double is influenced by a wide range of musical ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ genres from Hip Hop, Soul, Reggae and early House. ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ He's worked with the likes of Mickey Finn, Shy FX, 4 ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ Hero, Adam F, Elizabeth Troy, TC Islam, as well as ▐███▀▄
▐███▄▄ re-mixing for the Wu Tang Clan, Metalheadz and RAM. ▐███▀▄
