RELEASE NOTES:

While Portland, Oregon indie band System and Station took a brief hiatus in
2006, singer RFK Heise recorded this earnest one-man album as Protest Hill. In
the lush, string-laden setting created by producer Larry Crane, the songs
sparkle. Heise's full description vocals are alternately urgent ("Killer's
Witt") and wistful ("Hopeful"), and his songs are well-crafted folk-pop
creations.
