Release Notes:
This EP is the follow-up to No Association and uses the same
basic ingredients to good effect. Opening track, Control, is
typical of their core output - no-nonsense punk rock that's
hard to keep still to. Track two, Red_Lights_Flash, has a
similar route-one rock feel with an added dimension of
electronic sirens.
Track three is a new version of No Association, the title
track from the earlier album. This treatment features a
near-classical string section √ an addition that works with
the band's core sound surprisingly well. Track four, The
Origin, gives us another short burst of feelgood rock. Then
it's on to the closer, an acoustic version of the album track,
If All Else Fails, which, for a band that normally relies
pretty heavily on sheer guitar power, looks like a brave (or
possibly foolhardy) decision. Of its kind, though, this is
well executed, the vocals stand up pretty well, and the new
treatment does provide a welcome change of pace.
