The Wee Lil' Band is basically a punk band. These guys are
just to bored and old to transform their cultural discomfort
into something wild, loud and earsplitting. The result is
rather something that was called Alternative Country in the
good old 90ies.
Back in those days, singer/songwriter Christian was the
guitarplayer in the legendary Jet Bumpers, sure one of the
most influential european punk bands at the time. Everybody
remembers hits like: "I don't care that my girlfriend is a
techno bitch" or "The chemical industry just wonders why". By
the time the Jet Bumpers broke up in 1999 Christian was
already a member of The Radiation Kings. Although these
drug-driven cock-rockers never got anything done, they
appeared in germans famous tv-show "Rockpalast" and supported
TSOOL on some of their european shows in 2004. Nobody knows
how that could have happened. When the Radiation Kings finally
came to an end, Christian wrote more and more country, blues
and folk orientated songs for domestic purpose. After bass
player Uwe first heard some of the songs, he did anything get
these songs out to the world. His efforts ended in the birth
of the Wee Lil' band in 2006. Since then the Band played lots
of shows and recorded an album, that will released on High
Noon Records /Cargo spring 2009.
While all those hard facts plead for the band, most people
will still feel, that they can not relate to the music of the
Wee Lil' Band. No big deal, that's exactly how the band feels
about most people.
