Release Notes: ░██▓
██▒
Day Blues is a highly slept on hip-hop/skateboarding crew ██░
from Los Angeles California and Dallas, Texas. They are a 5 ██
man collective consisting of 3 emcees: Rob Wilcox (main ██
emcee), Mylow Miles, and Joshua Tree -- and 2 producers: ██
Benu and Jamuel Saxson. MC Rob Wilcox handles 80% of the ██
lyrics on this project. ██
██
All three of the rappers are semi-professional skateboarders ██
as well as full-time emcees. They also work for and are ██
sponsored by a skateboarding company called Guapo ██
Skateboards (www.GUAPOSKATEBOARDS.com) based in Dallas, TX. ██
██
Dubbing their music as "Skate-Hop", or as Rob stated, "just ██
some smoothed out, cool ass hiphop", the Day Blues have been ██
making music since 2001 and releasing independent records ██
such as Jamuel Saxson's "Fractions Anyone?", Day Blues ██
Presents: "Mylow Miles", and various instrumental projects ██
from Benu. With only under 500 copies of their debut album ██
being pressed independently, it's no wonder the Day Blues ██
have been slept on for years. Support dope hiphop and hit ██
up their myspace page and check out some Guapo skate videos. ██
