Release Notes:

20-something Brooklynite Nate Campany is a song-smith by
trade, contributing to the back catalogues of a somewhat
diverse range of artists from The Backstreet Boys, to Dutch
country-pop siren Ilse Delange. Campany seems to have saved
the pick of the tunes for himself however.

This taster for his forthcoming album, which he has been
financing via his own donation website (helpnate.com), is a
quartet of spacious and spirited alt-country mini-epics.
Bright and powerful in sound, Campany has a soft attractive
croon that sinks effortlessly into these lushly constructed,
thoughtful songs.

There are traces of Ryan Adams' beautifully plaintive melodic
ambiguity in romantic travelogue 'Stockholm Paris New York',
bolstered by some almost Robert Quine-like clean lead lines,
and pedal steel every now and then. Elsewhere, 'Shown' and 'I
Could Sing' cruise along with a reflective shuffling swagger
that politely call for use of the 'repeat' button.

If the full length album manages to maintain this quality it
could end up a feature of those µend of year' best of lists.
Let's see.
