The long-awaited Bobby Trafalgar album "In Person" is almost ready
to roll! Repap's first full-length release is in fact a compilation
from the legendary exotica / soundtrack composer, Bobby Trafalgar.
The era of the sixties and seventies was truly an age of
nonconformity and true freedom of expression. This is for all of us
who experienced those years, who took the unique zeitgeist for
granted, the movies for taking the snapshots, those hip cats and
the musical sounds in fashion - well, it seems we woke up and smelt
the eighties and the nineties in just a few weeks. And all of a
sudden it was over, forever...
These tracks from the legendary soundtrack composer Bobby Trafalgar
make a strong and encouraging start for Repap. This is 70's
jazz-inspired music. If you liked the Pulp Fusion compilation, you
should definitely think of getting this one. The bass is
instrumental but it also contains electronic, dub, percussions,
twisting sounds and various styles of vocals. Essentially, this is
soundtrack music.
And there's something special about music that is made for
film...whatever it is, I like it.
