D:Fuse and Mike Hiratzka's Lost Angeles Recordings present their
remixes of Nosmo v Kris B's "One For The Road." Nosmo v Kris B have
receiving a fair bit of attention lately so it's no big surprise
D:Fuse & Hiratzka revisit this tune.
With the D:Fuse & Hiratzka Vocal Mix you are introduced to a great
combination of sound styles with D:Fuse and Hiratzka both fighting
for track supremacy. Both in fact, clearly stamping their sound on
this. The match-up between beat and background are key and this is
clearly defined, both working in complete harmony. There's a real
swing to the groove and a wide progressive drift with the vocal
floating in the forefront. Really loving the fact that we are hit by
so many musical elements here in this mix.
The D:Fuse & Hiratzka Dub Mix continues on the same line, yet a
stripped down sound offers a tad more attitude and also closely ties
itself to carry the same theme across the whole track, pretty much as
you would expect from a dub.
Having followed the music of Mike Hiratzka for many years, it's nice
to see him taking on a newer progressive theme from the likes of
Nosmo v Kris B. Hence, this should be pleasing to more traditional
and modern progressive lovers.
