I don't know how many people remember the last Plot. album on Ryoondo-tea, but I must admit I thought it
was absolutely brilliant. This is easily as good and, in fact, might even surpass it! A collection of tracks that
are chilled out and relaxed and full of a clever mixture of minimalism, warmth and surprising rhythmic
components. Whereas the earlier album sounded almost like it could have been on 12k, this has a slightly
more upbeat feel for the most part with several tracks using 4/4 beats along with glitchy tones and
incidental noises, yet all backed up with lush chord sounds and little moments of melodic sweetness. You
can hear acts like Pola or Alva Noto referenced as well and that's what gives it that contemporary minimlist
edge. I guess what I'm saying is that this really has made my Monday morning considerably more
interesting and, as with all Ryoondo-tea releases, this comes with a big recommendation... absolutely
gorgeous stuff.
