A standout cut from their 'The Future Will Come' LP, 'One Day' is the
epic new single from Juan Maclean featuring remixes from Mark Romboy,
The Emperor machine and Surkin. Traversing the finest ends of energetic
80's electro disco and pop, Juan and Nancy have done themselves proud
with a devastating vocal hook and magnificent strings from Holy
Ghost!'s Alex Frankel that will be locked inside yer nut for longer
than you care for. Marc Romboy does a fine job with his mix, smoothing
out the kinks for the housier floors, but it's really all about The
Emperor Machine refix on the flip, teasing out the Italo NRG elements
of the original and working the arpeggiated bassline and lazer synths
to a very pleasureable disco death. Surkin rounds out a heavy package
with a freshened version sounding like a forgotten dance pop gem
unearthed in '09 and primed for DJ use. Purest disco ignition fuel!
