Der Trend bringt es mit sich, alte EBM-Bands mutieren zu Crossover-Acts.
So auch Mark Ickx auf der neuen Scheibe. Gitarren ⁿber elektronischem
Grundgerⁿst beherrschen den neuen Stil, jedoch nicht so druckvoll und
treibend wie bei manch anderer Band (Oomph!, Die Krupps, ...). Es gibt
viele tanzbare Songs auf der Scheibe, von denen mir "The Cutting Edge",
"DNA" und "Get Real" am besten gefallen. Bei einigen Tracks scheint Mark
noch zu experimentieren. Eine gewisse Abwechslung wird auch geboten,
Cyberpunk und Industrial werden von verschiedenen Seiten her beleuchtet,
mal schnell, mal langsam. Textlich bleibt Mark Ickx sich treu und wandelt
auf der dⁿsteren Seite, was gut zur Musik passt. Ein interessantes Album.
