Finally a new release from Final Cut. FC have been making
industrial music since '89, and they know what they're doing. Here's
   a blurb from they're site.

From the depths of the acid house scene comes Detroit's Final Cut.
Conceived in 1989 by Anthony Srock and Jeff Mills, Final Cut has
evolved into its present core - a collaboration between Srock and
Kurt Komraus (formerly of Lick). "Atonement" is their dynamic
release on Full Effect Records. Compelling, vigorous dance beats
combine with futuristic guitars to form a myriad of sounds. Add
Srock's cryptic, esoteric vocals and aura of mystery and you have an
incredibly danceable brand of industrial rock. With influences
ranging from Pink Floyd, (hence the name Final Cut), to Derrick May
to Rare Earth, the band describe themselves as experimental and
multi-faceted. According to lead vocalist Anthony Srock "We
basically do what we want do and then whatever happens, well happens
". That experimental attitude is what makes their sound so unique
and has kept them on the cutting edge of the industrial/dance scene
for the past 9 years. In 1991 they released their first single "Take
Me Away" which shot into the Top 10 in nine different countries.
Shedding the limitations of house, Srock twisted his roots and added
powerful elements such as grinding guitars and eerie vocals and in
1992 "Consumed" was released on Nettwerk Records. "Consumed" yielded
two Top10 Billboard singles including "I Believe In You", which
peaked at #2. For "Atonement" Final Cut enlisted the likes of Van
Christie of Die Warzau, Louis Svitek of Ministry, Taime Downe of
Faster Pussycat, and Martin Atkins of Killing Joke/Pigface. Said
Srock: "It was great to be surrounded by such a talented group of
people working on this record. They all had a hand in making what I
believe to be our best album to date. "Atonement" is a collection of
songs with themes ranging from sexuality ,("Grind", "Sexually
Transmitted Desires") to personal growth ("Wallow", "This Is The
Way"). "Wallow" reflects the self-defeatist attitude that we all
posses at certain points in our lives and how we must exercise our
own demons. "This Is The Way" teaches humility and having to come to
terms with the reality of life. According to Srock: "There comes a
time when, and for whatever reason , you confront reality ". The
reality for Final Cut fans is that they are back with a vengeance
and the honed skills of Final Cut will once again be unleashed and
   enjoyed.

   Enjoy Kiddies.

MORAL DiSCLAiMER: We are very aware of the fact that our releases
contribute to the growing sale losses of record companies.
Unfortunately our style primarily targets small, independant labels
     that need sales to survive.

For these reasons we ask you not to distribute this release on public
sites or P2P tools; if more and more receive their music from the net,
artists and labels will have to face even less sells than nowadays.
Please do not consider this release as a substitute to the original, but
only as a way to check out and learn about new music.
We absolutely do not approve of DJs or other individuals that earn
money from pirated music - Don't let them get their hands on it!

By buying the albums you like you disperse the guilt we feel by
releasing this music - Enjoy the music and be fair with the artists!
YOUR support is required to keep them financially alive and producing!
