█ "Co-inciding with the video release of Titanic, █
█ James Horner's second album with music from the █
█ film, ""Back to Titanic"" hits the shelfs. What █
█ was supposed to be the real gem of this album, the █
█ ""Titanic Suite"", has become its biggest █
█ disappointment. Excluding all of the dramatic █
█ stuff in favour of variations on the timeless, █
█ romantic themes, the suite is uninspired in its █
█ structure and fails to retell the story of the █
█ film - a mid section evoking the panic and frenzy █
█ of the boat sinking would have made this 19 minute █
█ suite far more interesting. The partly █
█ re-orchestrated music features a live choir and █
█ Norwegian singer Sissel Kyrkjeboe's voice is █
█ hauntingly beautiful, but that is about it. As for █
█ the rest of the album, it's a fine presentation of █
█ source music and score cues left off the first █
█ soundtrack. The eight minute cue ""A Building █
█ Panic"" is probably the album's highlight, █
█ together with James Horner's own sensitive piano █
█ rendition of ""The Portrait"". So, how about the █
█ new version of Celine Dion's ""My Heart Will Go █
█ On"", with added dialogue by Leo and Katie? Well, █
█ of course it's awful - what did you expect? █
