█ Although Mark Isham has done many interesting █
█ action scores, very few of them are available on █
█ CD (Nowhere To Run and The Getaway would have been █
█ terrific, for instance). Timecop is the greatest █
█ exception from this rule, and it's probably his █
█ best work in the genre. Composed for orchestra and █
█ electronics, it's an unusually hardhitting Isham █
█ score, it's brutal and uncompromising in its █
█ dramatic fireworks. Lots of percussion and brass █
█ in the orchestration - the ultra-high trumpets are █
█ particularly noticeable - dominate the listening █
█ experience. There is a softer saxophone theme, but █
█ the rest is plain action. A piece like "Polaroid" █
█ is in fact quite breathtaking. █
