Brilliantly odd and wonderfully idiosyncratic future dubstep styles from
the trippiest head in the game, Zomby, with a massively limited and
highly recommended one-sider for Brainmath records. Much like his
equally awesome 'Liquid Dancehall' 12", 'Rumours and revolutions' riddim
bravely fixes elements of dubstep with slick Bassline style pattern
shifts on the bottom end, and works up a uniquely melancholy but cutting
edge fresh melody up above. As the track progresses it feels like it's
about to move into a whole new section before very abruptly cutting out
like it's been lopped short, but that's just part of the brilliance
really innit? Nobody is doing it fresher than this guy right now, and we
just can't wait til his Hyperdub double pack drops, but for now this
will definitely keep us tripping on the floor. Hugely recommended!
