█░ and very much still active debut release Halica: Bliss Out ░█
█░ v.11 (Darla). v:d:c was recorded at home on computer. Sweet ░█
█░ TripÆs main component, Roberto Burgos, emerges from the ░█
█░ dreamy shoegaze of early work with more hard-edge electronic ░█
█░ glitch & beat programming. v:d:c is still very much awash in ░█
█░ lush Cocteau/MBV guitars and of course the angelic vocals of ░█
█░ Valerie Reyes. v:d:c is more confident and creative than ░█
█░ previous Sweet Trip, having captured the powerful groove and ░█
█░ glow of their live shows. v:d:c once again reveals Sweet ░█
█░ Trip's remarkable ability to craft a perfect pop song, only ░█
█░ these pop songs have exotic flavor. Sweet Trip have always ░█
█░ been an exotic sounding American hybrid band, perhaps ░█
█░ because they are first generation imigrant children. Roberto ░█
█░ BurgosÆ mom & dad came from Panama when he was very young. ░█
█░ Valerie Reyes' family came from the Philipines and Viet LeÆs ░█
█░ family came from Viet Nam. While Viet is no longer with ░█
█░ Sweet Trip and by his own admission, 'only played bass', ░█
█░ Roby and Valerie continue with guests Aaron Porter on tablas ░█
█░ and Sue Mee on vocals. Roby has always been the architect of ░█
█░ the Sweet Trip sound, which is at once leftfield electronic, ░█
█░ Afro-Cuban, glitchcore, tropicana house, MBV indie but most ░█
