- Release Notes ------------------------------------------------------------- -
f you've never heard of Bricolage, don't be alarmed - this band from across
the pond is proudly affiliated with only independent labels. But as its name
implies, this band is like a collage, and even if you've never heard of the
actual group, you've heard its influences.
On its second full-length album, the band sounds like the love child of
Rooney, mixed with some more distinctly British sounding bands - listeners
will pick up the punk sound of The Clash, some Fratellis-esque drum parts and
even traces of the Beatles.
None of the songs on the album are anything to write home about - the disc is
neither good nor bad, but it's certainly nothing you haven't heard before.
Bricolage is a melding of musical influences, and as a result, you'd do
better to set your iPod to shuffle.
